The location offered was marvellous not far from the old town, Palazzo Barbini-an excellent base from which to explore Umbria and a pedestrian area. Plus, our hotel was located 3 km from tourist attractions like a cubical shrine...

the rooms were beautiful and huge with the large bathroom and a kitchen and a good view, just what was needed. a microwave oven, tea/coffee making equipment, and a stovetop were a huge plus. the vibe here was quiet.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Barbini Dimora Storica and didn't want to leave. the property was charmingly historic, the staff was friendly, and its location near the town center was magnificent. the hotel's proximity to other restaurants, a pedestrian area, and Palazzo Barbini was very convenient. Additionally, having lunch at Il Giardino della Pergola - just a few minutes away - offered an incredible array of choices.

The location was marvelous and amazing, close enough to Palazzo Barbini - an excellent base from which to explore Umbria, in a pedestrian area. Plus, it was a 5-minute drive from Lake Trasimeno. - the room was beautiful and huge, and we had hypo-allergenic pillows. - the hotel staff was amiable; they all greeted us.

I absolutely adored the decoration in this beautiful hotel. The antique furniture and exquisite frescoes gave the whole place a charming and elegant feel. It was like stepping back in time to a grand old era. The general areas of the hotel were also very well-maintained and spacious, making it easy for us seniors to navigate around. The hallways and staircases were wide, and there were plenty of comfortable seating areas to rest and relax. It was a delight to stroll through the hotel and take in all the historical details.
The only thing I would have asked for to make the vacation even better for senior people is a little more assistance from the staff. While they were friendly and accommodating, it would have been nice to have someone readily available to help with luggage or provide guidance on nearby attractions specifically suitable for older guests.

We had a wonderful time in Castigliano de lago and Mario made it great! The town is adorable with small streets lined with restaurants and bars. The Brando apartment suited us fine with a nice veranda and a wonderful view. Mario even took us to his farmhouse with a big pool where we enjoyed the pool area and had a wonderful lunch. All the personnel were absolutely wonderful!

The location was on point, right in the heart of the action. We explored the cool medieval town of Castiglione del Lago and even checked out the nearby villages of Panicale and Paciano. The apartment was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. And let's not forget about the view from the balcony - absolutely stunning!
If there was one thing we could ask for, it would be for more exciting nightlife options nearby. We were looking for some fun party scenes to let loose, but unfortunately, there weren't many options available in the immediate vicinity.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the old town, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beautiful lake. Guests can enjoy stunning views of Lake Trasimeno from the roof terrace, creating a picturesque setting. The spacious rooms are designed with authentic, rustic decor, and the large wood beds provide extra comfort. Additionally, the air conditioning and WiFi in the apartments work efficiently, ensuring a pleasant stay.
There were some issues with communication and follow-up during our stay.
